If you have plants at your home then you know and understand the struggle that comes with maintaining them. You need to care for them properly if you wish them to grow healthy and you need to water them regularly. Not only that, but you also need to make sure that they do not get over-watered, and hence develop a rot. One woman has discovered a brilliant trick to avoid this problem and is genuinely being hailed as a genius for the simplicity of her gardening hack.
"Well. Need a laugh AND a hack?"
"I overwatered a few of my hoyas of late and I was worried about these new ones having the same issue."
"I saw this tip in the comments of another group and decided to try it myself."
"I don't use tampons but had them in the back of the cupboard and half the packets were damaged and were rubbish anyway so thought I would give it a go and it bloody worked. So much moisture drawn out of the soil in only a few hours. So if you accidentally over water your water sensitve plants plug a tampon in it.
She added: "They have doubled in size"
And signed off with: "Love Empress Eyrie"
She also provided the her audience with the link to her YouTube channel that you can check out for tips on gardening, here .
The best part of the gardening hack, however, was that it works like a charm and may indeed save a plant or two for you.
